General Guidance for Leh Visitors

• As announced  by Leh Government on 1st  May 2014, The Inner Line Permits (INP) are not required to explore certain zones of Leh for  the tourists, possessing Indian Nationality. The tourists will no longer require the inner line permits (INP) to explore mentioned destinations like : Dah, Pangong Tso, Hanu Villages, Merak, Man, Tso Moriri, Loma Bend, Nyoma, Khardung La, Turtuk, Nubra Valley (up to Panamik), Tyakshi, Tangyar (for trekking only), and Digger La.
• · Instead of furnishing Inner Line Permits (INP) ,  Indian Nationality Tourist can now submit their respective IDs (Driving License, Indian Passport, Aadhar Card, PAN Card,etc) on the army check posts in order to access these restricted zones.
• · In case of foreign Nationality tourists , they  still require PAP (Protected Area Permit) in order to visit all above mentioned destinations in and around Leh .
• · However Tourists are still required to furnish their respective INR / PAP  (Protected Area Permit) to explore Hanle, Chusul, Tsaga, beyond Loma bend, Chumur, Marsimik La, Batalik sectors of Leh.
• · To obtain the necessary permit from the The DC office the forms must be submitted before 3:0pm as after that they ll be rejected or might be transferred to waiting list . Also note that DC office is open between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM only
• · The whole process of obtaining the permits may take 15 min – 3 hours and are approved in the batches of morning & evening shifts.
• · The validity of INP for Indians is 3 weeks whereas PAP for Foreigners is 1 Week.
• · It is not advisable for ill-Health Person or senior citizens to visit Leh due to high altitude and low oxygen zones which can arise more complications in your anatomy. 
• · Acclimatization in Leh is very crucial. Hence customers must embark for sightseeing only after fully acclimatizing in these high altitudes & must also avoid hectic schedule in order to tackle any aftereffects in the later period.
• Leh is one the remoted destinations of the world esp during winters , hence visitors are highly recommended to carry necessary medications, first aid kits, comfortable & warm gears & wears,  High SPF Sunscreams etc . Tsomoriri lake must never be visited enroute to Manali – Leh highway ,  as Tsomorir  lake is situated at height of 4500 ft, and the the human body cann’t adapt to instant change in the oxygen and altitude level in such short span of time .

All correspondence for travel arrangements should be addressed to Glacial Adventures. For the services contracted, 50% advance payment should be made for confirmation of booking & the balance amount can be paid upon arrival in India or before check in hotel (before the commencement of the services).
Glacial Adventures hold the right to decide on the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Besides above, in certain cases like Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season or during fairs/festivals, full payment may be required in order to hold space CONFIRMED BASIS.
Please note that such payments are NON REFUNDABLE.
Advance payment can be made through WIRE TRANSFER to our bank,or by CASH that could be deposited in any of our accounts. Upon arrival in INDIA, the payment can be made in cash

TRANSFER FROM ONE TOUR TO ANOTHER
A transfer from one tour to another of the originally booked tour will be treated as a cancellation on that tour, thereby attracting the cancellation charges as stated in these
terms and a fresh booking on another.

BOOKING & PAYMENT CONDITIONS

For booking confirmation, need to pay 50% amount in company account by Checque/Cash/Net banking in our company account. Remaining amount should be paid at the time of check in at hotel.

PREPONE AND POSTPONE

For postpone/Prepone of tour packages are to be communicated in written and need to be inform us at least 7 days prior of tour date.
INR 3000/- will be charged extra for prepone/postpone.

AMENDMENTS / CANCELLATIONS

If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his/her booking because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client.All cancellations are to be communicated in written and advance amount is non refundable, besides the forfeiture of the deposit amount of the tour, a further charge will be levied as follows:-
30 days prior to departure of the tour, advance amount is non refundable, advance will be charged.
30 days to 15 days prior to departure of the tour 50% of total tour cost.
14 days to 07 days prior to departure of the tour 75% of total tour cost.
07 days to 01 days prior to departure of the tour 100% of total tour cost.

There will be no refund for NO SHOWS.
Any amendment in the original booking has to be given to us in writing. All changes will be processed only after the receipt of the same by the Company. However, if any of the amendment requests results in cancellation of one or more services, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as indicated in the above-mentioned table.
The above-mentioned cancellation charges are applicable only against the main Tour and optional tours published by the Company. If the Client has booked any other services such as air / train tickets or any third party product, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as per cancellation terms of respective airline / railways or the cancellation terms of respective third party. The Company is also liable to recover its service charges against booking and cancelling such services for the Client.
